The Curtain Club Theatre is proud to announce that our theatre received 18 nominations and 4 awards at the 2013/2014 ACTCO Festival. Details are as follows:
Nomination and WIN for Best Production of a Comedy; Lenin’s Embalmers, Produced by Jo Ann Warren. (Citation: “The entire company showed great commitment to the world of Stalinist Russia 1924. Balanced casting, uniformly strong acting performances along with a very risky ruling idea, all figured deeply into keeping the piece of comedy with dark undertones. A story that had to be told, this production provided us with insight and understanding of a harsh and difficult world but in ahumorous and entertaining manner”.)
Lenin’s Embalmers will be going on to compete in the 2014 Theatre Ontario Festival in Sarnia, Ontario, May 14th to 18th and is on stage at The Curtain Club Theatre until April 12th 2014. Please contact the Box Office for tickets: 905-773-3434.
